NSCC Bookstore Previously Owned Laptop Program

Scope |

1.1 |
These terms and conditions apply to all Previously Owned Laptops purchased through the NSCC Bookstore, in-store or online. Previously Owned Laptops are available while supplies last.

|
2.0 |
Definitions |
|
|
Original Receipt |
Accompanying physical or digital POS receipt with transaction confirmation. |
|
|
Customer |
An individual who purchases a Previously Owned Laptop from NSCC Bookstore, in-store or online.
|
|
|
Date of Delivery |
Calendar date in which the parcel is signed and received by the customer. |
|
|
Previously Owned Laptop |
Laptops that have been refurbished through NSCC’s Digital Innovation & Technology Department and are available for resale through NSCC Bookstore.
|
|
|
Mechanical Failure |
A reported malfunction that prevents a Previously Owned Laptop from performing its essential functions under normal use. All claims are subject to inspection and verification by NSCC Bookstore and/or NSCC’s Digital Innovation & Technology Department. Mechanical Failure does not include damage caused by misuse, accident, liquid damage, unauthorized modification, or cosmetic wear consistent with the assigned grade.

3.0 |
Acknowledgement |
|
|
3.1 |
All laptops purchased through the NSCC Bookstore have been refurbished through NSCC’s Digital Innovation & Technology Department.
|
|
|
3.2 |
Previously Owned Laptops can be purchased online at nscc.ca/bookstore or in-store at IT Campus Bookstore (5685 Leeds Street, Halifax). Pickup is available at any NSCC campus in addition to direct shipping.

|
|
3.3 |
Only one (1) Previously Owned Laptop may be purchased per customer. Multiple quantities upon receipt of a customer order will be flagged and may be subject to cancellation. |

4.0 |
Shipping and signing |
|
|
4.1 |
Previously Owned Laptops purchased through the NSCC Bookstore are shipped through Canada Post. Orders are processed and shipped within three (3) to five (5) business days after purchase. |
|
|
4.2 |
Signing for The Parcel: All Previously Owned Laptops require a signature upon delivery. Customers are responsible for inspecting the exterior of the package for any visible signs of shipping damage before accepting and signing for the shipment. If the package appears damaged, customers should refuse delivery and contact it.bookstore@nscc.ca with photographs of the damaged package. By accepting and signing for the shipment, the customer acknowledges that the package was received in acceptable condition. Claims relating to shipping damage will not be considered after the shipment has been signed for. Acceptance of the shipment does not affect a customer's eligibility to request an exchange for a defective laptop in accordance with Section 5.2. |

4.3 |
Shipping Confirmation and Tracking Number: Customers will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking number through their provided email once the package is shipped. |

|
5.0 |
Final Sale and Exchanges |
|
|
5.1
|
All Previously Owned Laptops are final sale. Customers may be eligible for an exchange in the event of a defective laptop, subject to eligibility requirements outlined below. |

5.2 |
Exchanges for Defective Laptops
Approved exchanges will be for a comparable Previously Owned Laptop of the same grade, subject to inventory availability.

5.3 |

NSCC reserves the right to inspect the laptop and determine whether the reported issue meets the eligibility requirements for exchange under this policy. |
